“ I’ve been going there for years. It’s just below Circular Quay railway station, at the end of the Light Rail and opposite the Manly Ferry wharf. It’s open all hours. It’s huge. Two floors inside and plenty of under cover seating outside. I go there with friends for a drink after a show or just a cup of coffee. Sometimes we bit food to share. No problems. I often go there during the day just for a coffee. The staff are ever so helpful with seating, food and drinks. ”

We came for coffee this morning and decided to come back for dinner ready for the City2Surf tomorrow Highly recommended especially every time I visit Sydney i always come back and I always enjoyed the experience. “ Lovely spot right next to Circular Quay with a beautiful view of the Harbour Bridge and so close to the Opera House. I had the pumpkin soup on a chilly evening, and it was just perfect—rich, comforting, and delicious. A great place to enjoy good food with an amazing view! ”

“ Visited in August 2016 - City Extra is known for its big portions, 24-hour service, and unbeatable spot right on Circular Quay. The view of ferries, cruise ships, and the Harbour Bridge makes it hard to argue with the location. I went for the “Canadian Breakfast” - eggs, bacon, pancakes, butter, maple syrup. The eggs were lovely, the bacon properly tasty. The pancakes had decent texture but little flavour; I ended up salting the butter and wishing for honey instead of syrup. Still, the quality of Australian produce shines through. Convenient, reliable, and I’d happily return if passing the quay again. ”
“ Great to see City Extra still running. I spent many nights here after going clubbing in the 90's. Had just finished a show at the Opera House and everything along the Promenade was closed. It still looks the same. Menu I think is the same so I went for my usual seafood crepe and a garlic bread. I swear it tasted just as I remembered. Service was great and for the area, prices reasonable. ”
“ I visited recently after loving this place on a visit from overseas 9 years ago — it was just as good as I remembered! The server was prompt and very friendly, and our lattes were yummy. We both ordered fish and chips, which were delicious, served with a delicate breading, a tasty salad and wonderful thick chips/fries. Scones — our favorite from our visits years ago — made a scrumptious dessert, which were fabulous with clotted cream and jam. We got some for takeaway, and they were just as good for breakfast the next morning. There are great seating options: inside at booths and tables, upstairs with views out over the harbor, and outdoors in front. All were popular. Now I just have to make the 16-hour flight again before another 9 years! ”
